أطرح هذا الموضوع للنقاش وإبداء الرأي وأثراء الحوار بين الأعضاء .
والسؤال هو : هل يمكن أن نستفيد من غرف الدردشة الآنجليزية لتحسين لفتنا الأنجليزية , أو العكس ؟
وهل ستصبح الاختصارات المستعملة مثل :
tc (take care) , c u (see you) gr8, (graet) , q8 (kwait) ,lol
وغيرها من الأختصارات لغة شائعة ونطلق عليها لغة النت أو الدردشة؟

Hello , Mr Yoonis
In my openion , this language" shortcuts " is used between " youth in chat in order to decrease the time of writing , they don't mean the main language but they want to make it faster to write and and to answer
they didn't know that with this shortcuts they distroy their english skills , like writting , reading , and talking . All of this for what ?!! for a simple non useful chat

How can we change this form of chatting ? For me , I think we should end it from our countries , but how?anyone have an answer

Hello guys
to be honest , this kind of writing sometimes is useful but for the people who already studied English very well or may be for English people themself.
I'll tell you a short story happened to me , I used to talk with an English guy using MSN to practise my writing , unfortunately he was using this kind of "shortcuts" and he told that my spelling is better than him ... eventhough he was a native speaker :)

using this kind of writing with people who want to improve their writing and typing in English is not useless

hi iam from palestine , thanx for this site , realy its very cute . But i think chatting in english is very usful for whose wanna want to improve his skills in english whether in writing or spelling.but i think without abbreivation is better than as it helps us to overcome our problems in writing .About the spelling it needs practice and to speak more and more specially with a native speaker ....................... thats all thanks for you

I'd like to introduce myself first
I'm yousreya El hamshary from Tanta-Egypt
I'm a technical English lecturere in the high institute for Engineering and Technology in Kaf Elsheikh-Egypt
I have master degree in English Methodology
I'd like to add a responce to your subject. let me tell you that English is simpley like computer ,the more you practise the more you proceed . And also it is said that practice makes progress. I'd like to help if there is any idea for exchanging information

It's good idea , i think chatting is good to learn english
/it helps you to know more vocablary (somtimes non formal )
and how to speakinkg ,writting ...etc
but if you learn English you must be study hard ..

hi every one , i know that my english language not very well , but i will try and i hope if you will underestand what i'm talking about , about the language short cut i think it's not a good idea this shortcut is something spetial between two friands that any one of them can understand the meaning of the word but not any one can underestand it .
