Cleaning of R.O membranes:
q by alkaline solution (organic fouling):
1- Indicators to cleaning:
q reducing output of product water.
q loss of salt reject percentage.
q Increase inlet pressure.
q Increase of pressure difference.
Note a- if feed water temperature drop the out put of product water will be
Reduce.
b-and if malfunction of control pressure pump it will reduce delivery
Pressure, out put flow and increase salt passage.
2- Procedure of cleaning:
a- drain all water in the system.
b- attach 30 gallon fresh water between feed water and brine by reservoir
c- add 1 kg Cleaning solution to water and mix well until dissolve
d- operate system at 50 psi to 10 minutes, during this first 10 min of cleaning cycle the flow should be at less 1gpm for 2.5 inch, and at less 3gpm for 4 inch pipe, to allow foulants loosen, the flow then should be increased three times of initial flow.
e- discard cleaning solution to drain then rinse reservoir well
f- fill container with clean fresh water and flush system to drain.
Note: discard initial product water for (10-15) min as precaution being chemical present.
q By acidic solution (minerals fouling)
Same alkaline cleaning procedure but we use hydrochloric acid.
q Keep ph of a solution tank between (9-11) by adding detergents.لقد تم تنظيف اغشية ال ROباستحدام الطريقة الأولى حيت ارتفعت قيمة ال SALT REJECT من 95% الى 96.5% وانخفض فرق الضغط .الى انه بعد شهرين انخفضت نسبة ال SALT REJECTمرة اخرى الى 94% وازداد فرق الضغط في مرحلة الاولى وقل في المرحلة الثانية ارجو المساعدة
